Command An Army Guilds & Ranked: Update 2 Guide (2026)
Published September 20, 2026 · Last updated September 20, 2026
Update 2 (September 19, 2026) added Guilds, Ranked mode, Rapier units and the Parry mechanic. What each system does and how to use them.
Quick Answer: What Did Update 2 Add?
Update 2 went live on September 19, 2026 and the Roblox listing is now "[GUILD & RANKED] Command An Army" — the name itself announces the two headline systems. Guilds let players organize into persistent groups; Ranked mode adds competitive matchmaking on top of the attack-or-defend format. The update also shipped new Rapier units and a Parry mechanic for player combat, plus three celebration codes (RANKED, NEW GUILD, NEW PARRY — 300 Gems each) on the codes page.
| Feature | Status | What We Know |
|---|---|---|
| Guilds | Live | Confirmed before release (Sportskeeda, Sept 13); groups organize via the official Discord |
| Ranked mode | Live | Competitive matchmaking over the attack-or-defend format; in the listing name |
| Rapier units | Live | New unit line shown in Update 2 coverage (YouTube, Sept 19); names/stars not yet published |
| Parry mechanic | Live | New player-combat mechanic; the NEW PARRY code celebrates it |
| Mongol units | Announced | Listed on the events page for the update window (Sept 19-25); data pending |
Guilds: What They Change
Guilds are the persistent social layer the game lacked at launch: instead of queueing solo every match, guild members organize together — recruitment and coordination run through the official Discord (discord.gg/commandrblx), where the developers post update logs and polls. If you were playing before Update 2, joining an active guild is the fastest way to find coordinated teammates for Ranked; if you are new, finish the tutorial, redeem the ten working codes, then look for a guild recruiting your timezone.
Ranked Mode: Competitive Matches
Ranked mode layers competitive matchmaking onto the existing attack-or-defend format — the matches are the same capture-point battles, now with stakes. Everything that won normal matches still wins ranked ones: role coverage within the star limit, order discipline (Hold on defense, Rush on flanks), and loadout swaps between attack and defense rounds. The difference is that mistakes cost more, so the habits from the winning strategy guide — reviewing what broke you each round — matter double.
Parry: The New Combat Mechanic
Update 2 added a Parry mechanic to player combat — timed defense that rewards reading your opponent rather than just blocking. Details (timing window, which classes benefit most) are still being documented by the community; what is confirmed is the mechanic itself, both from Update 2 coverage and the NEW PARRY celebration code. For class players this adds a skill layer on top of Sword & Shield's block and Assassin's dodge roll. We will detail the timing once creator tests publish numbers.
Update 2 Codes
Three codes shipped with the update, each worth 300 Gems: RANKED, NEW GUILD and NEW PARRY. Redeemed alongside the seven earlier working codes, the full set is worth up to 4,850+ Gems — see the codes page for the verified list and the redeem path (Code button on the right side of the screen, tutorial completion required).
